NC School of Science and Math Powwow sponsored by: NC School of Science and Math Powwow and will be held at: Charles R. Eilber Physical Education Center. No contest powwow. Admission Fee: $5, Children 5 and under free, singers and dancers free. AD: Dalton Lynch. Invited drums: Southern Sun, Stoney Creek, Southern Eagle, Ko-tah-noh Jrs. Booths and fees: List Total Number of Vendor and Food Booths and Booth Fees. All trader booths have been filled. At least 17 traders. 2 food booths (one inside, one outside.
Comments: This is a fun, friendly non-competition powwow with lots of intertribal and exhibition dancing. The number, variety, and quality of the drums that show up for this powwow is well-known. This will be the 21st annual powwow, known for being one of the first powwows in the Southeastern United States.
Directions: 1219 Broad Street, Durham, NC 27705. From the east, coming on I-40, come past the RDU airport, take NC 147 past downtown Durham, take the Swift Ave. exit, turn right, go eight blocks to the school. Powwow in gymnasium on the back part of the campus.
